Duncan and Logan grew up less than ten minutes away from each other; they knew many of the same people and even worked for the same company, but their paths did not cross until January 10, 2016. Duncan's cousin thought they would be a good match and set them up on a date. They bonded over funny videos, music, and so much more. After months of dating, Duncan proposed on December 3rd at Brookgreen Gardens' Night of a Thousand candles. They were both so excited to spend forever together.
Fast forward to May 13, 2017. There are so many things that we can control in life, but the weather is not one of them. So what happens when it pours down rain on your wedding day? You make the best of it. And that is what Logan and Duncan decided to do! The two of them carried clear umbrellas and met under a beautiful Oak tree at Upper Mill Plantation for their first look. When Duncan turned around to see his bride for the first time, he threw down his umbrella and immediately gave her the sweetest hug! Because of the rain, the couple had to move their ceremony under the shelter that was along the river. Honestly, I don't think it could have been more romantic. Who doesn't love the sound of rain on a tin roof?! Thankfully, the rain did stop after the ceremony, and we were able to capture some beautiful portraits.
The reception was decorated beautifully. Logan, along with her family and friends, created the floral arrangements and did the decorating and planning themselves. There were so many personal touches. The reception DJ, Rich Hargrove from Chris James Entertainment did a great job of keeping the dance floor moving, as you will see in the images! We love receptions where we can capture people having fun and dancing the night away!
Duncan and Logan we hope that you are enjoying your Scotland honeymoon, and remember the old superstition says that rain on your wedding day is lucky! We wish you many years of luck, love and happiness!

As the ceremony ended the rain decided to take a break!
